These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the sale of products from Donna Forte to you, the customer. By placing an order on our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. General Information
Donna Forte is a UK-based seller of post‑surgery compression garments, including bras and bottoms. We are committed to compliance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. Ordering & Acceptance
- All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
- Once you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt. A binding contract is formed when we dispatch the goods.
3. Pricing & Payment
- Prices are in GBP (£)
- Delivery charges are shown at checkout.
- Payment is taken at the time of order via our secure payment gateway.
4. Delivery
- We aim to dispatch within 1‑3 working days.
- Delivery times are estimates; we are not liable for delays beyond our control.
- Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the goods are delivered.
5. Your Right to Cancel (“Cooling‑Off Period”)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason.
- To cancel, you must inform us in writing (email to info@donnaforte.co.uk) within the 14‑day period.
- You then have another 14 days to return the goods to us at the address above.
- We will refund the full price including standard delivery costs within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return.
6. Returns – Important Hygiene Exceptions
Because our products are post‑surgery medical compression garments, health protection and hygiene reasons apply as follows:
- Post‑surgery bottoms (including any underwear‑style garments):
Your right to cancel for a change of mind is lost if the sealed packaging has been opened or if the garment has been tried on or worn. This is because such items cannot be resold for hygiene reasons. - Post‑surgery bras:
You may return a bra for a refund if you change your mind, provided it is unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and with all original tags attached. Trying on a bra (over other clothing or as intended) does not normally void your right to cancel, but the bra must be in a resalable condition.
All returns for change of mind must be made in original, undamaged packaging where applicable. We reserve the right to refuse a refund or deduct up to 100% of the value if the hygiene exception applies (e.g., bottoms that have been unsealed or tried on).
7. Faulty or Incorrect Goods – Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- If the product is faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose, you are entitled to a full refund within 30 days of receipt.
- After 30 days and up to 6 months, we will offer a repair or replacement; if that is not possible, a refund (with possible deduction for use).
- The hygiene exception does not apply to faulty goods. We will always accept returns of faulty items, even if they have been tried on or opened.
- To claim for a fault, please email info@donnaforte.co.uk with your order number and a description/photograph of the issue.
8. How to Return an Item
- For change of mind returns (bras only, and unopened/unused bottoms if still sealed):
Repackage the item securely and send to:

We recommend using a tracked service. You are responsible for return postage costs. - For faulty goods:
Contact us first. We will advise on return and typically cover reasonable return postage costs. - Once we receive the return and verify its condition, we will process your refund within 14 days.
9. Refunds
- Refunds will be made to your original payment method.
- We may deduct a reasonable amount for loss in value if you have handled the goods beyond what is necessary (e.g., damaged tags, stains, odours).
- For bottoms that have been unsealed or tried on (and are not faulty), no refund will be issued.
10. Liability
- Our products are medical‑grade compression garments but are not a substitute for professional medical advice. You should consult your surgeon or healthcare provider before use.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any direct loss arising from our products is limited to the purchase price of the product.
11. Privacy & Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (available on the website). We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to fulfil orders.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes may be resolved through the UK legal system or via an approved alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider.
